In this clip, Yella Beezy spoke on his start into music. He detailed his come up from the mixtape scene in Dallas and how he got his initial buzz from tracks like "No Man" and "Light Work."

However, Yella Beezy said that there were moments when he wanted to quit rap because it wasn't making him any money. He explained that DJs in Dallas weren't playing music from local artists for a period between 2011 and 2014.

But Yella Beezy devised a plan to get his records heard by investing thousands in the strip club scene to have strippers dance to his records, thus making them hot enough for other DJs to began spinning his records.
